ivey ("we", "our", or "us") is developed by ARTZY. This policy explains how ivey handles your information in accordance with Apple App Store guidelines and applicable privacy laws.
By default, all session data you create in ivey is stored locally on your device. This includes:
By default, the ivey team cannot access the session data stored on your device. Deleting the app permanently removes all locally stored data. If you enable optional cloud features such as Cloud Sync (see Section 6), the relevant data is securely backed up to our encrypted servers.
If you subscribe to ivey Pro and enable cloud sync, your session data is also stored in a secure, encrypted cloud database. See Section 6 for details.
ivey uses third-party AI services to power its core features. When you use these features, your data is sent directly to the third-party provider for processing:
This processing is essential to ivey's core functionality. The ivey team cannot access your voice recordings, session text, or key hand descriptions. These are processed entirely by the third-party AI provider and are not stored or accessible by us. The third-party provider's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy.
ivey uses PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics. This helps us understand how users interact with the app so we can improve the experience. The data we collect includes:
We cannot see your poker session data, hand histories, voice recordings, or any personal content through analytics. Analytics data is used solely to improve the app experience and identify usability issues.
ivey Pro subscribers can enable optional encrypted cloud sync. When enabled, your session data is synchronized across your iPhone and iPad via a secure, encrypted connection. Cloud sync is entirely opt-in — disabled by default — and can be turned off at any time from app settings.
Data stored in cloud sync is encrypted in transit and at rest. The ivey team does not have access to the content of your synced session data. If you choose not to enable cloud sync, all data remains exclusively on your device.
ivey Club is an optional in-app community where you can publish posts, leave comments, and join a real-time chat lobby with other users. Participation is entirely voluntary; if you never enter ivey Club, none of the data described in this section is collected.
When you take part in ivey Club, certain information is collected and displayed publicly to other users. The following is publicly visible to anyone using ivey Club:
Content moderation: To keep ivey Club safe, user-generated content (including text and images) is sent to a third-party AI service (OpenAI) for automated content moderation and image recognition. The same service is used to help process reports submitted by users. This processing is essential to operating a safe community.
Retention: Chat lobby messages are automatically removed from the lobby roughly 48 hours after they are posted. For safety and abuse-prevention purposes, an audit archive of community content is retained for approximately 90 days before deletion.
By participating, you agree not to post unlawful, abusive, or infringing content. We may remove content and restrict accounts that violate these terms.
Features that require an account — including ivey Club and Cloud Sync — use Sign in with Apple to create your account. Through this, we collect the user identifier provided by Apple and, if you consent to share it, your email address. We use this information solely to authenticate you and to associate your community activity and synced data with your account. We do not use it for advertising.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Account. When you delete your account, your cloud data is permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period; any data stored locally on your device remains on the device until you clear app data or uninstall ivey. You may also email us at ivey.journal@gmail.com for assistance with deletion.
ivey is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
For locally stored data, you have full control. You can delete all local data at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling ivey. If you have enabled ivey Pro cloud sync, you can disable it and delete your cloud data from the app settings at any time.
